Fritz Baack has developed a totally unique style within the last two decades which is made up of his perfect craftsmanship, his creativity; sensibility for the material, all toped off with his spirituality. With these qualities he is capable to work with natures minerals such as Marble, Basalt, Granite, and Bronze which he is able to fine tune to his own sense of perfection. He is gifted to create works which give off large amounts of Harmony, in that sense, both his small and large sculptures pair up in a proportional and also dynamic work process. His passion for the famous quarries in Italy and Greece has entrusted him with the traditions of the Mediterranean.
His studies and trips to Asia and India convey new spiritual impressions in his works. His Negative- and Positive-Structures in Sculptures, Discs and Heads make the viewer visualize the historic items being portrayed and sends him/her back in time into the rooms of classical tradition, humanistic and spiritual depths like the Mediterranean's peacefulness. The works are often pushed to the limit of the technical possibility in order for them to seem like a powerhouse, they send sights and thoughts from the outside surrounding to the inner soul.
